Editorial policy
Silver News Network aims to make its explanations clear, accurate and accountable. We distinguish reported information, interpretation and opinion, and revise material when the record warrants it.
Accuracy and sourcing
We check factual statements against suitable source material and make the basis of an explanation clear in its wording. We do not treat attribution as proof: naming a source tells readers where a claim came from, while the claim still needs to be read in context. Where a point is uncertain or disputed, we say so rather than making it sound settled.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for reader value, not to promise favourable coverage. We do not accept payment in exchange for an editorial conclusion, and commercial arrangements do not determine what our explanatory articles say.
Corrections and updates
If a reader spots an error, they can describe it through the Contact page. We review the point, correct material errors and make meaningful changes clear to readers where appropriate. Updates may add context or clarify wording without changing the central account.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid placements and material made with a partner are labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial work. Some illustrations may be generated with AI; where that is the case, the illustration is identified accordingly.
